 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
 passing of Bettye J. Glover of Cedar Park on July 3, 2017, at the age
 of 80; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Jerry and Carolyn Jarrell, the
 former Bettye Jarrell was born on February 18, 1937, in Wink, and
 she grew up with the companionship of her sister, Gwendelyn; after
 graduating as valedictorian of the Winters High School Class of
 1955, she wed William Sanders Glover Jr., and the couple shared a
 rewarding 13-year marriage before his death in 1968; Mrs. Glover
 was a devoted mother to her children, Sandra, Angela, Jerry, and
 William, and she also knew the joy of welcoming into her family
 seven grandchildren and a great-grandson; and
 WHEREAS, After relocating to Austin, Mrs. Glover received
 her real estate agent's and broker's licenses, and she went on to
 co-own B and G Properties with her longtime friend, Ginny Bronson;
 and
 WHEREAS, A talented cook, Mrs. Glover maintained a vast
 collection of cookbooks and spent many happy hours baking and
 preparing meals for friends and loved ones; she was also an avid
 sports fan who often attended Texas Longhorns football games and
 closely followed the fortunes of her favorite professional team,
 the Dallas Cowboys; moreover, she took great delight in nurturing
 her six beloved cats, collecting antiques, gardening, and reading
 mystery novels; and
 WHEREAS, Although Bettye Glover will be deeply missed, those
 who were privileged to share in her love and friendship will forever
 remember the joy and kindness she brought into their lives; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
 of Bettye J. Glover and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn
 her passing; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bettye
 Glover.
