H.R. No. 194
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carl Clemencich was elected as the representative
for Place 2 on the Allen City Council in June 2017; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Allen for more than two decades,
Mr. Clemencich was appointed to the board of the Allen Community
Development Corporation in 1996 and went on to serve as a member of
the boards of the Allen Parks and Recreation Department and the
Allen Economic Development Corporation; in 2012, he became a
trustee of the Allen Independent School District, and he has
volunteered his time with the Allen Community Emergency Response
Team, Citizens on Patrol, Habitat for Humanity, the Citizens Fire
and Police Academies, the Collin County Citizens' Sheriff's
Academy, and many other worthwhile organizations; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clemencich holds bachelor's and master's
degrees in accounting and an MBA in corporate finance, and he has
enjoyed a career as a certified public accountant that has spanned
over 30 years; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support
of his wife, Laurie, and he takes immense pride in their five
children and four grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Appreciative of Allen's exceptional potential, Carl
Clemencich is committed to making economic opportunity and a high
quality of life available to all its citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Carl
Clemencich on his election to the Allen City Council and extend to
him sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Clemencich as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
