R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dustin Crane, party of the first part, successful
professional, scuba diver, wine drinker, and dog lover, has existed
in this world as a single individual, without a lifelong companion
with whom to share his heart, his life, and his soul; and
WHEREAS, Alyssa Wilcox, party of the second part, artist with
an amazing voice, board game expert, escape room champion, and avid
tea drinker, has also been without such a lifelong companion to
share her many adventures, her love, and her life; and
WHEREAS, Through the coordination of mutual friends, the
party of the first part was introduced to the party of the second
part in a very informal manner; and
WHEREAS, The two parties determined that they had an interest
in pursuing a possible romantic relationship that could lead to
hand-holding, long walks on the beach, and joint ownership of a dog;
and
WHEREAS, Lisa and Jim Wilcox, parents of the party of the
second part, found that the party of the first part was acceptable
as an individual dating their daughter and allowed the party of the
first part to survive going to the gun range with the father of the
party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, Birdy and William Crane, parents of the party of the
first part, had been hoping that the party of the first part would
find an amazing person like the party of the second part for many
years, and they have opened their home and hearts to the party of
the second part; and
WHEREAS, After many moons of successful development of a
romantic relationship, the party of the first part, with the help of
innumerable parties of the third, fourth, and fifth parts, asked
for the hand of the party of the second part in holy matrimony; and
WHEREAS, After a very short period of consideration to be
measured in picoseconds, the party of the second part accepted the
proposal of the party of the first part; and
WHEREAS, The parties of the first and second part, as well as
all of the parties of the third, fourth, and so on parts, came
together for the marriage of the parties of the first and second
parts on July 1, 2017, in a grand celebration in Kentucky; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Dustin Crane
and Alyssa Wilcox on their wedding and extend to them sincere best
wishes for a life filled with wonder, mystery, support, and love;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
