A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the transport of alcoholic beverages for personal
consumption.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 107.08, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 107.08. TRANSPORTATION OF BEVERAGES FOR PERSONAL
CONSUMPTION. A person who purchases an alcoholic beverage for the
person's [his] own consumption may personally transport it from a
place where its sale is legal to a place where its possession is
legal without holding a license or permit.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
