A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to designating March 30 as Master Sergeant Jonathan J.
Dunbar Day.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 662.071 to read as follows:
Sec. 662.071. MASTER SERGEANT JONATHAN J. DUNBAR DAY. (a)
March 30 is Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar Day in honor of
Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar, who served in the United States
Army and gave his life in defense of this nation.
(b) Master Sergeant Jonathan J. Dunbar Day shall be
regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
