A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to electronic correction of voter registration
information by a person on the suspense list.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 15.021(d), Election Code, is amended to
read as follows:
(d) A voter, including a voter on the suspense list, who
continues to reside in the county in which the voter is registered
may correct information under this section by digital transmission
of the information under a program administered by the secretary of
state and the Department of Information Resources. A voter on the
suspense list who submits a correction under this subsection is
considered to have complied with the requirements of Section
15.053.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
