H.R. No. 2025
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ismael Jimenez of Booker High School achieved great
distinction by participating in the 2019 University
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11,
Mr. Jimenez competed in the 1A 200-meter dash and finished in
eighth place; and
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite
track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Ismael Jimenez has
ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ismael Jimenez on participating in
the 1A 200-meter dash at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Jimenez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
