King, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1143 by Ramos (Relating to the publication of pathogen-related fresh water data by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Water Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to publish fresh water data from available monitoring data and assessments performed by the agency related to items identified in the bill. Based on the analysis of the TCEQ, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
