                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             May 7, 2021       TO: Honorable Bryan Hughes, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1264 by Bell, Keith (Relating to the time for making required reports of deceased residents of this state to a voter registrar and to the secretary of state.), As Engrossed     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill would amends the Texas Election Code related to the deadline for the local registrar of deaths to deliver abstracts of death certificates to the voter registrar and to the Secretary of State.  The bill would also change the timeline for clerks of court with probate jurisdiction to submit abstracts of certain probate documents to the voter registrar and to the Secretary of State.According to the Secretary of State, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the election administrators in Cameron, Taylor and Tarrant counties, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
