A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the authority of a county assistance district to
perform district functions outside the district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 387.003, Local Government Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (a-2) to read as follows:
(a-2) A district may perform the functions authorized by
Subsection (a-1) outside the district for the benefit of the
district in a location that is not more than two miles from the
district in this state.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
