Murr, Chair, House Committee on Corrections     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1307 by Gonzlez, Mary (Relating to the care of pregnant women in county jail or in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the care of pregnant women incarcerated in county jails or the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
