                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 7, 2021       TO: Honorable Garnet Coleman, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1308 by Gonzlez, Mary (Relating to certain inspections of county jails by the Commission on Jail Standards.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to annual jail inspections conducted by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. The bill would also direct TCJS to hold an annual public meeting regarding the previous year's inspections. It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
