                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 21, 2021       TO: Honorable Nicole Collier, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1394 by White (Relating to automatic orders of nondisclosure of criminal history record information for certain misdemeanor defendants.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Government Code to require courts, under certain circumstances and for certain people convicted of or placed on deferred adjudication community supervision, to prohibit criminal justice agencies from disclosing to the public criminal history record information related to the offense for which the person was convicted or placed on deferred adjudication community supervision.Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.  Local Government ImpactEastland County anticipates a moderate fiscal impact to the county. Brazoria County does not anticipate a fiscal impact to the county.
