The bill would amend the Government Code to extend the requirements for either performance or payment bonds for public work contracts, depending on project cost thresholds, to include projects on public property that are leased to a non-governmental entity. The bill would also extend the bonding requirements to contractors and subcontractors performing work for non-governmental entities who lease publicly-owned facilitiesAccording to the Facilities Commission, no significant fiscal impact to the State is anticipated. According to the Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), no significant fiscal impact to TPWD is anticipated. According to the Historical Commission, no fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.   Local Government ImpactAccording to the Facilities Commission, TPWD, and the Historical Commission, no fiscal impact to units of local government is anticipated.
