It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the deadline for certain public school teachers and principals to attend a teacher literacy achievement academy could be absorbed using existing resources. Local Government ImpactSchool districts and charter schools select from and incur the costs for a $400/participant blended, asynchronous model or a $3000/participant comprehensive model, which includes synchronous learning sessions and job-embedded coaching. While there are costs for districts and charter schools related to the reading academies, it is not anticipated that there would be additional costs as a result of extension of the current deadline.
