                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 13, 2021       TO: Honorable Richard Pea Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1795 by Dominguez (relating to the adoption of a veterans land bank program by the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Government Code and the Tax Code to establish a veterans' land bank program to be administered by the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation. The bill would require the corporation to adopt a land bank program and establish or approve a land bank for the purpose of acquiring, holding, and transferring unimproved real property to low-income veteran households.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal implication to counties is anticipated.
