                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 31, 2021       TO: Honorable Richard Pea Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1936 by Bucy (relating to the issuance of specialty license plates to honor members of the United States Army Special Forces.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue specialty license plates for persons who serve or have served in the United States armed services and have earned Special Forces qualifications.Based on the analysis provided by DMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
