The bill would amend the Election Code to modify the eligibility requirement that a political party officer be a qualified voter of a county. Under the bill, that eligibility requirement would only apply to county or precinct chairs of political parties.According to the Secretary of State, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.   Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, no fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
