The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to allow the Parks and Wildlife Commission to create a special open hunting season of certain migratory game birds for veterans and active duty members of the military. Based on information provided by the Parks and Wildlife Department, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise the bill would take effect on September 1, 2021.
