                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 24, 2021       TO: Honorable Richard Pea Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2159 by Raymond (Relating to a study on state land use to facilitate health and wellness for veterans.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the Texas Veterans Commission, in collaboration with the General Land Office, Texas Historical Commission, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to conduct a study to identify and assess the use of state land, including state parks, for the purpose of facilitating health and wellness for veterans. The report on the results shall be submitted no later than November 1, 2022.It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
