                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 10, 2021       TO: Honorable Briscoe Cain, Chair, House Committee on Elections     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB22 by Swanson (Relating to accommodating a voter unable to enter a polling place.), As Introduced     No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Election Code to require all early voting and election day polling places to have two designated parking spaces reserved to accommodate voters unable to enter a polling place.  Local Government ImpactBastrop, Hays, and Williamson counties do not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to counties. Fort Bend County anticipates a cost between $30,000 to $40,000 to create designated parking spaces. Bexar County anticipates a cost of $40,000.
