It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to disconnection notices for water and sewer service could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactThe City of Houston anticipates a fiscal impact of $1,232,299 per fiscal year due to necessary new staff and printing and postage costs. The fiscal impact to other units of local government cannot be determined at this time, but may be significant depending on the population.
