The bill would amend Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to provide additional summary information and certain verbal information to a parent after initiating an investigation and to adopt a form for the purpose of verifying that the parent received the verbal notifications and written summary. Based on analysis from DFPS, it is assumed that the costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
