The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to forfeiture of contraband. Under the provisions of the bill, the definition of contraband would be amended to include, in certain circumstances, property used in the commission of the offense of racing on a highway.This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
