                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             May 29, 2021       TO: Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate  Honorable Dade Phelan, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2315 by Turner, John (Relating to the forfeiture of contraband relating to the criminal offense of racing on a highway.), Conference Committee Report     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to forfeiture of contraband.  Under the provisions of the bill, the definition of contraband would be amended to include, in certain circumstances, property used in the commission of the offense of racing on a highway.This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.   Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
