Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill would would have a significant fiscal impact on counties in that it would limit a county's ability to redirect savings from year-over-year changes in law enforcement budgets due to attrition, one-off expenditures for construction, vehicles, and the outfitting and training of new officers for other budget priorities.
