The bill adds a new section to Civil Practice and Remedies Code Chapter 38, which relates to attorney's fees, providing that a person may recover reasonable attorney's fees from an individual, corporation, or other entity as compensatory damages for breach of a construction contract.Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration and Secretary of State, no significant fiscal impact to the state or the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
