This bill would amend the Election Code relating to required identification for mail-in ballots. Under the provisions of the bill, the requirements for early voting by mail would be expanded and would be explicitly included in the penal code under the perjury offense. The Secretary of State indicates the modifications outlined in the bill's provisions would not result in a significant fiscal impact. This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
