The bill would amend the Government Code to add new Chapter 2274, regarding prohibition on contracts with companies that discriminate against firearm and ammunition industries. Based on the analyses of the Office of the Attorney General and Comptroller of Public Accounts, it is assumed that the costs associated with the implementation of the bill's provisions could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect on September 1, 2021.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
