Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Public Education     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2605 by Rosenthal (Relating to prevention of and safety requirements regarding sudden cardiac arrest affecting public school students participating in interscholastic athletics.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to prevention of and safety requirements regarding sudden cardiac arrest affecting public school students participating in interscholastic athletics could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government Impact There could be costs to local districts to provide training in sudden cardiac arrest to coaches, to provide electrocardiograms upon request from students, and to develop and conduct informational meetings at the start of each athletic season.
