                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 29, 2021       TO: Honorable Jeff Leach, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2703 by Landgraf (Relating to the removal of a vacated protective order from the protective order registry maintained by the Office of Court Administration of the Texas Judicial System.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Government Code to require the clerk for the issuing court in which a protective order has been vacated to remove the record from the Protective Order registry.  In addition, the vacated order information would not be publicly accessible on the website. Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
