The bill would amend the Election Code to allow the governing bodies of certain political subdivisions to call for a local option election relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, since the local option election could be held on a uniform election day, the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact on counties.
