It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the duties of peace officers investigating a family violence allegation or responding to a disturbance call that may involve family violence could be absorbed using existing resources.This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, there may be a slight negative fiscal impact to counties, but it will not be significant.
