The bill would amend the Water Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to provide notice of an assessed administrative penalty to a member of the Texas Legislature that represents an area where the violation for which the agency has assessed the administrative penalty has occurred. Based on the analysis of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
