A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the design of motor vehicle registration insignia.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 502.00211, Transportation Code, is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 502.00211. DESIGN OF REGISTRATION INSIGNIA. (a) The
department shall prepare the designs and specifications to be used
as the registration insignia.
(b) At the beginning of each calendar year, the department
shall change the color of the registration insignia to be a color
that is easily distinguishable from the color of an insignia issued
in the preceding calendar year.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
