                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 12, 2021       TO: Honorable Joe Deshotel, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB3817 by Hunter (Relating to the procedure for conducting surveys of public land, including the requirements regarding field notes and coordinate systems.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to allow for an alternate coordinate system to be used for surveys of public land.Based on information provided by the General Land Office and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
