                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 28, 2021       TO: Honorable Chris Paddie, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB3906 by Goldman (Relating to the regulation of political funds, campaigns, and lobbying, including certain functions and procedures of the Texas Ethics Commission.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Election Code related to the submission of certain information to the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC).  It would remove certain statutory requirements related to mailings.According to the TEC, the bill would reduce the annual mailing of personal financial statement notices; however, any savings from this reduction is not expected to have a significant fiscal impact..According to the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the bill would not have a significant revenue impact on the state.According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.   Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
