                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             May 24, 2021       TO: Honorable Dade Phelan, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB4056 by Meza (Relating to the establishment of a committee to study the formation of a Texas Bicentennial Commission.), As Passed 2nd House     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would establish a committee composed of 18 members to study and produce a report on the formation of a Texas Bicentennial Commission. The committee would receive administrative support provided by the General Land Office and the Texas Historical Commission. This analysis assumes there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the bill's provisions that could be absorbed within current resources.   Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
