The bill would amend Occupations Code 801.504 to establish a state jail felony for the offense of practicing veterinary medicine without a license if it is shown on the trial of the offense that the actor falsely represented that the actor was a veterinarian or affiliated with a veterinarian's practice during commission of the offense. The Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners indicates the provisions of the bill would not impact the agency's operations.
