It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the licensing and regulation of certain drug and alcohol related court-ordered educational programs, providing administrative penalties, and requiring occupational licenses could be absorbed using existing resources.This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
