A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the license of certain appraisers when making an offer
for real property.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 21.0113, Property Code, is amended by
amending subdivision (4) to read as follows:
(4) before making a final offer, the entity obtains a
written appraisal from a certified appraiser, of the value of the
property being acquired and the damages, if any, to any of the
property owner's remaining property. An offer must be written by a
certified appraiser licensed under Chapter 1103, Occupations Code;
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
