                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 12, 2021       TO: Honorable Jim Murphy, Chair, House Committee on Higher Education     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB4247 by Frullo (Relating to eliminating reporting requirements for public institutions of higher education and the requirement for a plan by certain school districts to increase enrollment in public institutions of higher educations.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would authorize the Higher Education Coordinating Board to discontinue reporting requirements if the commissioner of higher education determines that the required data can be obtained from a different source. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
