A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to public libraries as voter registration agencies.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 20.091, Election Code, is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 20.091. APPLICABILITY OF OTHER PROVISIONS. (a) The
other provisions of this chapter apply to a public library except:
(1) provisions that conflict with this subchapter; and
(2) as provided by Subsection (b).
(b) Section 20.004 does not apply to a public library.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
