                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 13, 2021       TO: Honorable Angie Chen Button, Chair, House Committee on International Relations & Economic Development     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB4279 by Dominguez (Relating to the eligibility of the Windham School District to participate in the Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) Grant Program.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the eligibility of the Windham School District to participate in the Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) Grant Program could be absorbed using existing resources. Although there is no significant cost to implement the provisions of the bill, the Texas Workforce Commission reports adding another entity will impact how the JET funds are allocated for independent school districts, public junior colleges, public technical institutes, and public state colleges.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
