The bill would amend Transportation Code 621.101 to provide an exemption from the maximum single axle weight and tandem axle weight limits in that section for vehicles that are transporting items that have a reasonable possibility of shifting during transit. Based on the information provided by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
