                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 29, 2021       TO: Honorable Stephanie Klick, Chair, House Committee on Public Health     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB464 by Cortez (Relating to food allergen awareness in food service establishments.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require food services establishments to display a poster related to food allergen awareness that meets standards the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) would develop. DSHS would also be required to develop a sample poster. DSHS and the Health and Human Services Commission indicated the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
