It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the eligibility of certain children who are or were in foster care for free prekindergarten programs in public schools could be absorbed using existing resources. While the bill's provisions would potentially increase the number of eligible students for prekindergarten, the number of students is not anticipated to large enough to have a significant fiscal impact to the Foundation School Program.
