This bill would amend the Texas Election Code related to certain unopposed candidates. According to the Secretary of State, the changes in this bill would have the effect of shortening the ballot for counties and political subdivisions with a large number of unopposed candidates.According to the Secretary of State, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal implication to counties is anticipated.
