H.R. No. 1810 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious natural resource, and the Marlin Independent School District has demonstrated a deep commitment to educating area youth; and WHEREAS, The district draws enrollment from a diverse community within a five-square-mile area; nearly 150 employees serve more than 800 students at Marlin Elementary, Marlin Middle, and Marlin High Schools; faculty and staff strive to foster a safe, nurturing environment for learning; and WHEREAS, Since 2020, Dr. Darryl J. Henson has led the district as superintendent; he is assisted by an executive cabinet that includes Lawrence Galloway, chief operating officer, Dr. Stacy Parker, executive director of academics and student services, Adam LeJeune, director of technology, and Jesse Bustamante, director of human resources and special education; and WHEREAS, The district's board of managers includes president Billy Johnson, vice president Danny Vickers, and secretary Byrleen Terry; and WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing vitality of our state, and the administration, faculty, and staff of the Marlin Independent School District work tirelessly to help students reach their full potential as responsible, productive, and ethical members of a changing society; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature hereby honor the Marlin Independent School District for its service to the community and extend sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the district as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
