H.R. No. 34 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Hilario Alvarado Jr. of San Isidro, who passed away on November 10, 2019, at the age of 71; and WHEREAS, Born in Mission, Texas, on April 8, 1948, to Hilario Alvarado Sr. and Benita Garcia Alvarado, "Lalo" Alvarado grew up with the company of his three siblings, Benito, Francisco, and Margarita; and WHEREAS, A dedicated educator for 30 years, Mr. Alvarado made a positive difference in the lives of countless students in the San Isidro Independent School District and the Rio Grande City Consolidated Independent School District; in addition to teaching, he owned Economy Awards Company with his brother, and he served as director for the Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc. board; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Alvarado enjoyed the love and support of his wife, Alma, with whom he shared a rewarding union of nearly five decades; he took great pride in his three children, Sara, Hilario, and Anabella, and he delighted in time spent with his three grandchildren, Hilary, Hilario, and Diego; and WHEREAS, Lalo Alvarado lived a rich and purposeful life centered around his family and his faith, and he will long be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Hilario Alvarado Jr. and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hilario Alvarado Jr. Guillen ______________________________ Speaker of the House I certify that H.R.
